The Dog House

Jed Sheckley, owner of The Dog House, has been involved with dogs all his life. At age 13, Jed got a Collie puppy and handled every aspect of Cody’s training and care. They grew up together as a team for the next 12 years. At age 15, Jed started a successful dog walking business in New York City. Four years later he moved to Providence, Rhode Island where he began working for a busy grooming shop, Classic Clips Pet Salon. Jed learned every aspect of grooming and was promoted to manager in just one year. After four years Jed left the grooming shop to open his own pet sitting and dog walking service on the East Side of Providence. Jed became a certified dog trainer at the Animal Behavior College and as part of that education, he worked at Petco in Seekonk, MA. After gaining a wealth of experience in all different areas of dog care, Jed decided to open a facility offering Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming done the right way. Jed opened The Dog House in 2006 at age 28.
